**UPDATE**

Just wanted to update everyone with the winner of the CFC/Found Item T-Shirt contest, Congrats go to Todd R of Junkfed!

Here at the Cult Film Club we spend a lot of time thinking about the fun aspects film and paying attention to the little details, like fashion in the flicks we adore.  Whether it’s the finer attire (like our favorite ascot-wearing villains) or an extreme lack of threads (like our favorite naked fight scenes.)  Today all three of the CFC hosts thought it would be fun to join forces and celebrate our favorite piece of clothing, the various shirts (mostly T-Shirts) from the movies we love.  Before we dive into our top five lists, we’d also like to take this opportunity to announce and give a warm welcome our first official sponsor, Found Item Clothing.  Found Item specializes in designing and selling screen accurate recreations of iconic t-shirts from some pretty awesome movies.  In honor of this partnership, Found Item has graciously offered to furnish a t-shirt to one lucky listener of the Cult Film Club, so keep reading past the below lists for a chance to win a pretty rad t-shirt.

This past week Pax, Jaime and Shawn sat down and brainstormed our individual top 5 favorite movie shirts.  It was hard to narrow the lists down, but here’s what we came up with…

Paxton’s Top Five

#5 – The Lambda Lambda Lambda Sweaters from Revenge of the Nerds

Pax 5

You have to love these sweaters for the bitchin’ style alone, but how can you not fall for them like the hot Pi Delta Pi’s fell for the Nerds in this hilarious flick.  Pax wouldn’t be caught dead selling pies at a college fundraiser without one…

#4 – Hobb’s NY Knights Jersey from The Natural

Pax 4

Not only is this fictitious ball club’s jersey pretty neat, but Hobb’s in particular is awesome because it also features that nifty lightning bolt patch (a reference to his “Wonderboy” bat that came from a tree that was struck by lightning!)

#3 – Randall’s Ranger Danger shirt from Clerks II

Pax 3

The Ranger Danger shirt worn by Randall in Clerks II is a nod to Kevin Smith’s proposed sci-fi flick called Ranger Danger and the Danger Rangers that has never seen the light of day.  Makes me wonder if there is a script floating around for this…?

#2 – Loki’s Infinity Street Sign shirt from Dogma

Pax 2

Who knew it was only 36 miles to Infinity?  Pax did, ’cause he has this shirt.

#1 – Stile’s Teen Wolf shirts from the Teen Wolf flicks

Pax 1

Stiles was portrayed by two actors over the course of the Teen Wolf flicks (Jerry Levine and Stuart Frakin).  If you combined the fashion sense of Frakin with Levine’s awesome screen presence you’d have one hell of a perfect Stiles!

Pax’s honorable mention, all of the rest of Stile’s shirts from Teen Wolf

Pax Honorable 1

Shawn’s Top Five

#5 – The Stork Bros. I’m with Stupid shirts from One Crazy Summer

MSDONCR EC007

The loveable innocence and, well, stupidity of of the Stork Bros. is perfectly illustrated in their inability to correctly position themselves in their awesome I’m with Stupid shirts…

#4 – Big Fun shirt from Heathers

Shawn 4

Big Fun scored a massive feel good hit with Teenage Suicide (Don’t Do It) in the movie Heathers.  I have to make sure there’s no Drano in the house when wearing this rad shirt…

#3 – Billy’s Gumbo shirt from Big

Shawn 3

Though it’s only featured in a short scene in Big, this Gumbo shirt (mashing up Rambo and Gumby) made a huge impression on me when I was a kid.  It’s also sort of the grandfather of the pop culture mash-up t-shirt craze that’s so damn popular these days…

#2 – Cru’s Rad Racing shirts from Rad

Shawn 2

How can you not root for the underdog, especially when they’re selling such awesome swag like these Rad Racing shirts!

#1 – Sean’s Stephen King Rules shirt from The Monster Squad

Shawn 1

Shawn’s all time favorite movie shirt has to be the Stephen King Rules shirt from the Monster Squad.  I mean not only is the character also named Shawn (well, Sean), but I had also just discovered King and was hip deep in reading Christine when I saw this movie!

Shawn’s honorable mention is the matching shirts from BMX Bandits!

Shawn Honorable 1

Jaime’s Top Five

#5 – Napoleon’s Stallion shirt from Napoleon Dynamite

Jaime 5

Napoleon is such a stallion, and he shows it with his choice in t-shirts.  Specifically this one, that has stallions on it.

#4 – Donnie’s Skeleton shirt from Donnie Darko

Jaime 4

I never thought skeleton shirts could be made more iconic than their appearance in Spinal Tap and the first Karate Kid flick.  That was until Donnie Darko came along…

#3 – Dwayne’s Jesus was Wrong shirt from Little Miss Sunshine

Jaime 3

He might be colorblind and unable to join the armed forces, but Dwayne and his fashion sense sure was the brightest thing in Little Miss Sunshine

#2 – Cameron’s Caduceus shirt from Ferris Bueller

Jaime 2

Cameron is a walking ball of hypochondriac sickness which is perfectly represented by his awesome army drab Caduceus threads

#1 – Fredie’s Makin’ Bacon shirt from The Karate Kid

Jaime 1

Blink and you’ll miss probably one of the dirtiest jokes in the Karate Kid.  It’s too bad Freddie ditched Daniel after the ass-kicking on the beach because I would have loved to have seen what other insane t-shirts this guy had in his collection!

Jaime’s honorable mention is the six million other shirts Napoleon wears in Napoleon Dynamite!

Jaime Honorable 1
