Cult Film Club Field Trip – The Wizard

Sometimes the three of us at the Cult Film Club get the bug to pack up the microphones, pile into the Family Truckster and head on out on the open road looking to discuss movies on other podcasts. This Christmas we decided to head on over to the Horror Movie BBQ to meet up with host Chad to talk about his favorite film of all time, 1989’s The Wizard starring Jenny Lewis, Fred Savage and Christian Slater!

Chad was a gracious host as we barged into his place and started messing up his video game collection, eating all his snacks, and monopolizing the conversation about Nintendo nostalgia, how bad the Power Glove really was, how much we love Fred Savage, and how adorable it was that Beau Bridges was boasting about getting the Scroll Weapon in the old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. We talk about the rad soundtrack, the missteps in the back story, awesome skateboards, and VIDEO-freaking-ARMAGEDDEON!
