Concession Stand: Highlander Novelization

On this special bonus episode of the Cult Film Club, regular Co-Host Paxton Holley brings his keen novelization-reading podcast I Read Movies into the club for a bit so that he can talk about the Highlander novel!

The novelization was written by famed British fantasy author Gary Kilworth. At the time that it was released in 1986 it was only published in the UK under his pseudonym (Gary Douglas), but eventually it was released in the United States for the film’s 10th anniversary under the author’s true name. The novelization features a ton of additional scenes and canonical explanations of the nature of the immortals, so it’s a very fun read.
